摘要: Growth, which is intrinsically linked to environmental conditions including temperature and food availability are highly variable both temporally spatially. Estimates of growth rates the Southern Ocean euphausiid Thysanoessa macrura currently restricted limited studies rely upon repeated sampling length-frequency analysis quantify rates. The instantaneous method (IGR) was used measure rate T. successfully in southern Kerulen Plateau region during summer, providing first IGR parameters for species. Results four-day incubation indicate a period low somatic adult macrura. Males had longer intermoult (IMP) (62 days) than females (42 days), but sexes exhibited similar daily 0.011 mm day−1 0.012 respectively. Juveniles fastest growth, with an IMP 13 days 0.055 indicating prolonged season, Antarctic krill E. superba. Consequently, we highlight usability strongly encourage its use developing comprehensive understanding spatial seasonal patterns
