Viscoelastic properties of alginate aqueous solutions in the presence of salts

摘要: The influence of added salts on the dynamic viscoelastic properties are investigated for aqueous solutions alginates that have various molecular weights and mannuronate/guluronate (M/G) ratios. moduli systems increase with increasing concentration salt in low-frequency region. effect is notable order KCl < NaCl MgCl2 ≪ CaCl2. values rubbery plateau independent addition salts, irrespective M/G ratio alginate. These facts strongly suggest structure formed by interaction between metal ions does not work as cross-linking points but heterogeneous relaxation units having a relatively long time from rheological viewpoint.
