摘要: From December 1831 until October 1836 Charles Darwin participated in the famous journey round world on British sailing ship ‘Beagle’. During 1837 he worked intensively material had collected last five years and manuscripts notes of his studies coasts countries visited. By now health was somewhat affected and, as wrote to a friend, doctors urged him strongly ‘knock off all work go live country for few weeks’. These weeks spent at seat uncle Josiah Wedgwood Maer, Staffordshire. Here told about own observations earthworms, which made previously pastures.
