摘要: In this study we compare the richness, abundance and guild composition between two different reforestations in meridional part of Amazon. We test hypothesis that termite community is affected by identity tree species used reforestation. More precisely, whether reforestation a native fig (Ficus sp) more efficient restoring biodiversity than exotic teak trees (Tectona grandis). sampled these reforested areas three other “control” areas: active pastures, abandoned pastures (secondary forests) mature pristine forest. found distance from nearest primary forest had no effect on biodiversity, at scale studied. But, as expected, richness were higher forest, intermediate areas, lower secondary pastures. fact, only studied habitat with comparable to was plantations. The also similar diversity humivorous termites particularly pronounced compared pasture or forests. provides important functional services, since its action makes nitrogen nutrients available plants along ecological succession. Our results show valuable strategy recovering ecosystem services they provide.
