摘要: The influence of patients' extramedical characteristics on physician decisions to hospitalize patients is examined by use the hypothetical case approach. In addition, and market condition are as possible correlates responsiveness conditions. findings provide additional evidence that, for at least some cases, likelihood a physician's admitting patient hospital influenced patient's living arrangements, travel time office, extent which medical care would cause financial hardship patient. Variation in these conditions quite large. This variation not consistently related specialty or occupancy rates, but correlated with spent giving outpatient care.
