摘要: Radical surgical procedures for the cure of prostatic cancer are based on premise that all cells reside in tissue to be excised and excision properly accomplished. In 75 years have elapsed since radical prostatectomy was first performed, criteria selection candidates been refined. Based pathologic findings demonstrated long-term tumor-free survival, those patients apt derive greatest benefit from surgery with Stage B1 lesions. We were able trace 57 B, disease who underwent perineal at The Johns Hopkins Hospital between 1951-1963. Fifteen or more postoperatively, 29 (51%) alive well, 10 (17%) died recurrent cancer, 18 (32%) without disease. There no available data prove any other therapeutic modality can match 15-year survival provided by this stage
