摘要: Two forms of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) have been purified from brains the American alligator, Alligator mississippiensis, using reverse-phase high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC). The concentration total GnRH was 8.8 ng/g frozen brain tissue or 21.1 ng per brain. amino acid sequence each form determined automated Edman degradation. presence N-terminal pGlu residue established by digestion studies with bovine pyroglutamyl aminopeptidase and coelution synthetic native peptide. primary structure alligator I is pGlu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Gly-Leu-Gln-Pro-Gly-NH2 II pGlu-His-Trp-Ser-His-Gly-Trp-Tyr-Pro-Gly-NH2.
