Error estimation in measuring strain fields with DIC on planar sheet metal specimens with a non-perpendicular camera alignment

摘要: Abstract The determination of strain fields based on displacement components obtained via 2D-DIC is subject to several errors that originate from various sources. In this contribution, we study the impact a non-perpendicular camera alignment planar sheet metal specimen's surface. are estimated in numerical experiment. To purpose, deformed images – were by imposing finite element (FE) an undeformed image numerically rotated for Euler angles. It shown 3D-DIC stereo configuration induces substantial compensation introduced image-plane gradients. However, higher accuracy and precision up level perfect perpendicular proposed “rectified” setup. This compensating technique gains benefit both (single view, basic amount correlation runs, no cross-camera matching nor triangulation) (oblique angle compensation). Our conclusions validated real experiment SS304.
