摘要: The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility has recently made available to the user community a facility totally dedicated Time-resolved and Extreme-conditions X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy – TEXAS. Based on an upgrade of former energy-dispersive XAS beamline ID24, it provides unique experimental tool combining unprecedented brilliance (up 1014 photons s−1 4 µm × FWHM spot) detection speed for full EXAFS spectrum (100 ps per spectrum). science mission includes studies processes down nanosecond timescale, investigations matter at extreme pressure (500 GPa), temperature (10000 K) magnetic field (30 T). core activities are centered new experiments investigation states that can be maintained only very short periods time. Here infrastructure, optical scheme, systems sample environments used enable mission-critical performance described, examples first results electronic local structure in melts conditions relevant Earth's interior laser-shocked given.
