摘要: Abstract In the last decade, studies have shown that short-term monocular deprivation strengthens deprived eye’s contribution to binocular vision. However, magnitude of change in eye dominance after (i.e., patching effect) has been found be different between for methods and within same method. There are three possible explanations discrepancy. First, mechanisms underlying effect probed by measurement tasks might exist at neural sites. Second, test-retest variability led inconsistencies, even Third, itself subject fluctuate across separate days or experimental sessions. To explore these possibilities, we assessed reliability most commonly used (binocular rivalry, combination, dichoptic masking) repeatability shift each task. Two variations phase combination were used, one many contrasts stimuli. Also, two masking task was tested, which orientation mask grating either horizontal vertical. This makes five all. We hope resolve some inconsistencies reported literature concerning this form visual plasticity. study, also aim recommend a method will allow us better understand its physiological basis underpinning disorders.
