摘要: Discrimination and harassment of lesbian, gay bisexual (LGB) physicians from their colleagues superiors are known. However there is little knowledge about the patients’ attitudes discrimination toward physicians. A cross sectional Internet survey was conducted in urban Croatian regions. The participants were asked to answer questions regarding socio-demographic status, Attitudes Towards Lesbians Gay Men Scale (ATLG), whether they would refuse see a LGB physician and, if so, why. Of 1004 participants, 8.8% said male GB while 7.9% female LB physician, 7.3% both. two most common reasons for discriminating were: “disaccord with political or religious beliefs” “fear being sexually harassed”. logistical regression model showed that sex, higher ATLG score age associated more refusals Also age, physicians, personal contact people less both groups. observed prevalence significant. results suggest based on emotional stereotypical beliefs. Educational efforts should be directed towards changing misconceptions people.
