摘要: Electroretinogram (ERG) flicker photometry was used to study the spectral mechanisms in retinas of white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) and fallow (Dama dama). In addition having a rod pigment with maximum sensitivity (λmax) about 497 nm, both species appear have two classes photopic receptors. They share common short-wavelength-sensitive cone mechanism λmax region 450–460 nm. Each also has peak middle wavelengths, but these differ slightly for species. this is 537 nm; average value 542 Deer resemble other ungulates many types mammal and, thus, requisite retinal basis dichromatic color vision.
