摘要: The dealumination of mordenite using mild steaming conditions (1.2 vol% steam in nitrogen at 440°C) has been studied a Pt/Al2O3/mordenite catalyst containing 25% the zeolite. These are found to cause extensive mordenite, as determined 27Al and 29Si MAS NMR spectroscopy, although there is no significant loss crystallinity by powder X-ray diffraction. It that relatively short duration (i.e. 3 h) can lead dealumination. Detailed STEM analysis both high angle annular dark field imaging EDX demonstrates does not significantly affect Pt dispersion. Model experiments only component were also carried out, dealuminated mordenites used catalysts for o-xylene isomerisation. Initial leads an increase activity, prolonged activity. activity almost exclusively due formation products disproportionation reactions. results discussed terms effect on Bronsted Lewis acid sites.
