摘要: Plasma transferred arc (PTA) coating is a novel method for surface-coating applications. In this method, the substrate melted using plasma arc, and surfacing agents such as carbides are introduced to melt pool. The purpose of study investigate effect boron carbide (B4C) in nickel-based on AISI 4140 steel.,Samples were tested ball-on-disc wear device, microstructure, well properties, investigated SEM XRD.,The B4C addition was shown be linear, with p-value 0.0248, indicating strong evidence. reason increase found third-body generation resulting from hard phases that form couples soft base material, nickel. It concluded 6 per cent optimal solution.,In literature, neither low temperature nickel nor single agent has been investigated.
