摘要: The underlying pathologies of sickle cell disease and asthma share many characteristics in terms respiratory inflammation. principal mechanisms pulmonary inflammation are largely distinct, but activation common pathways downstream the initial inflammatory triggers may lead to exacerbation both states. altered landscape these can differentially impact pathogen susceptibility patients with asthma. How two distinct diseases behave a comorbid setting further exacerbate complications associated states infection. This review will provide concise overview how distinctly affects individuals physiology impacted during comorbidity.
