摘要: Although previously considered rare, recent epidemiological studies have revealed that the incidence (3.6/100,000) and prevalence (35/100,000) of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) has increased over past few decades. Despite progress in understanding GEP-NET molecular biology, there is still little advance early diagnosis due to lack specific tumor markers. As are mostly detected their late stage, they not well controlled by either biotherapy or conventional chemotherapy, thus represent a significant clinical issue. Chronic inflammation been implicated development GEP-NETs. This review presents findings link pro-inflammatory cytokines basis tumorigenesis, leading more personalized approach disease management therapy.
