摘要: BACKGROUND Precise imaging of nerves have been challenging in the head and neck region, mainly due to low spatial resolution. Here, we investigated how region could be visualized using an ultra-high magnetic field MR system. METHODS We used formol-carbol-fixed human cadaveric necks obtained diffusion tensor images (DTIs) a 9.4 Tesla (T) Afterward, prepared tissue sections checked anatomic relationships between neurons carotid artery order confirm that fibers are indeed neuron fibers. RESULTS were able identify nerves, including vagus nerve, hypoglossal spinal-accessory nerve. Hematoxylin-eosin stained histological confirmed same position. CONCLUSION This technique has feasibility applied for more accurate understanding, maybe even close level.
