摘要: Advanced data acquisition and process modelling technology provide ‘real-time’ decision support capacity for different aspects of the resource extraction process. Closed-loop approaches have recently been applied to utilize information extracted from these in combination with advanced computing improved production control mineral extraction. Similar techniques developed petroleum industry combining computer-assisted model updating model-based optimization. This contribution reviews recent developments methods applied, highlights differences assesses potential value addition both application domains. The focus here is on two main constituents closed-loop concepts, assimilation Technological readiness assessed, gaps further development are identified. added illustrated by means selected cases.
