摘要: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were consistently documented in the sediments of canals draining into Biscayne Bay. The study examines contribution urban runoff to PAHs discharges. Subtropical climatic conditions associated with prolonged dry seasons often exacerbate problem pollution as initial storms wet season wash off pollutants accumulated over time. Road samples collected at two sites different levels traffic end and beginning season. Storm-event mass first flush was found occur inconsistently. Higher PAH both after an extended Kendall’s tau test used measure association between antecedent days flow-weighted concentrations be statistically significant. correlation intensity road not High-molecular-weight originating vehicle exhaust emissions appeared dominate runoff. Friedman’s showed overall similarity composition profiles exception low-molecular weight PAHs.
