Gendered accounts : undergraduates explain why they seek their bachelor's degree

摘要: Data from a four-year longitudinal study of undergraduates were used to determine whether males and females give different explanations for their decisions seek bachelor's degrees these differences could be explained by three mediating variables: performance levels, expectations, attainment values. Females found more importance internal reasons than did, but gave higher ratings items measuring academic drift, including luck. had levels males, no gender expectations values, did not explain in seeking the degree.
