摘要: In this work, micelles and shell crosslinked nanoparticles (SCKs), prepared from poly(acrylic acid)-b-polystyrene block copolymer precursors, were functionalized with the cyclic peptide KCRGDC to generate nanoscale agents for targeted imaging drug delivery. The contained a tripeptide arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (RGD) sequence as recognition motif αvβ3 integrin receptor, which is highly expressed in tumors, cardiovascular sites, other areas where angiogenesis occurs. Our specific interest these nanomaterials includes their development selective treatment of acute vascular injury. work within chapter focuses upon rigorous studies develop methods synthesis covalently-attached ready-to-bind peptides. Special attention paid need peptides be presented surface available binding protein receptors. affinities peptide-labeled were, therefore, evaluated by means IC50 values αvβ3, those data used guide synthetic efforts further. Targeting integrin, selectivity against integrins such αvβ5, was also demonstrated. best receptors achieved
