摘要: Fats, oils and greases (FOG) are the number one cause of sewer pipe blockage have been mostly disposed as a waste until recently. This study investigated low cost environmentally friendly approach to extract lipid fraction (fatty acids glycerides for biodiesel production) from grease (SG), i.e., FOGs obtained wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). The was primarily in form free fatty acid (FFA), at 20.7wt%. An innovative solvent-free extraction developed using cooking oil (WCO) overcome challenges emulsion, impurities high moisture content grease. A 95% yield achieved under optimum operating condition 3.2:1 WCO-SG ratio (wt/wt), 70°C 240min. In addition, reusability WCO also investigated. can be used two three times with more than 90% efficiency.
