A vacuum ultraviolet pulsed field ionization-photoelectron study of cyanogen cation in the energy range of 13.2–15.9 eV

摘要: The vacuum ultraviolet pulsed field ionization-photoelectron and photoionization efficiency spectra of NCCN have been measured in the energy region 13.25-17.75 eV. analyses these provided accurate ionization (IE) values 13.371 +/- 0.001, 14.529 14.770 15.516 0.001 eV for formation NCCN+ X(2)Pi(g), A(2)Sigma(g)(+), B(2)Sigma(u)(+), C(2)Pi(u) states, respectively. [NCCN+(B(2)Sigma(u)(+))] value determined here indicates that origin NCCN+(B(2)Sigma(u)(+)) state lies lower by 25 meV than previously reported. A set spectroscopic parameters NCCN+(X(2)Pi(g)) has calculated using high level ab initio calculations. experimental are found to consist ionizing transitions populating vibronic levels NCCN+, which pure progressions, combination modes involving symmetric CN stretch, CC even quanta antisymmetric bending vibrations. These bands identified with guidance present (c) 2005 American Institute Physics.
