摘要: Thermoplastic polymer such as high density polyethylene (HDPE) can be troublesome to manufacture due its viscosity of molten resin. To improve the manufacturability, additive is a preferred method low cost compared changing die geometry, process control setting and molecular weight However, influence mechanical physical properties HDPE was not fully understood. Therefore, aim this paper evaluate effects fluoropolymer calcium stearate on melt flow index (MFI) HDPE. Twin screw extruder used for compounding injection molding employed produce specimens. MFI, tensile flexural tests were carried out according their respective ASTM standards. An improvement 20% in MFI observed when 0.1% added Adding mixture did make any significant impact properties. Tensile remained almost same with without additives. property reduced quite significantly
