摘要: Composite materials are supplanting conventional metals in aerospace, automotive, civil and marine industries modern times. However, despite these advantageous properties, they prone to delamination or matrix cracking. Thus, necessitating the early detection of crack flaw before it initiates into a serious defect. An offline approach was commonly used where parts examined away from service/operation. This not only consumed lot time but risked damage part during operation handling. A detailed understanding various proven methods techniques their applicability analysis vibration signatures obtained damaged structures under dynamic conditions is essential develop reliable Structural Health Monitoring System (SHMS). paper includes Vibration based testing on Carbon/Epoxy composite beams. Such composites aerospace industry. material type gaining acceptance industry also automotive construction industries. The reports processing healthy beams upon excitation mode shapes acquired. study comprises carbon/epoxy with embedded delaminations mechanical actuator scanning laser vibrometer (SLV) as sensor for recording frequency response analysing acquired Displacement Curvature Mode Shapes.
