摘要: An improved process for preparing the 2-alkylamino-5-alkylpyridine and 2-amino-5-alkylpyridine amination products of 3-alkylpyridines, comprising step initially reacting base directly with sodium salt a primary alkylamine to produce 2-alkylamino form, wherein alkyl group in each reactant has from 1 about 20 carbon atoms. The is preferably preformed situ by adding dispersion an organic solvent heated 100°-120° C. substituted proceeds at temperature 100°-140° such as toluene under inert nitrogen atmosphere. ratio 2,5-:2,3- isomer reaction up 10:1 or more, effective yield 2,5-alkylated being 25% more.
