摘要: Abstract Hydroelasticity is a phenomenon occurring during the interaction between water and deformable structure. Structural deformations can modify fluid motion, introducing difficulties in calculation of impact-induced stresses. Predicting structural stresses entry flexible structures major challenge suitable computer-aided design tools are currently being developed validated. This work investigates impact wedges. Experimental numerical results on parameters affecting hydroelasticity evaluated for plates with different boundary conditions. The occurrence hydroelastic effects shown to depend ratio natural frequency structure characteristic wetting time. influence fluid–structure interactions investigated by simulations. conditions which significant must be accounted analysis identified, while outside this range modeled as rigid body. Pressure at interface found not influenced deformation, unless detaches from due cavitation or ventilation.
