摘要: Crash box is a passive safety system placed on four wheeled vehicle, the purposes it to absorb impact energy due bumper no longer able hold happened. There have been many studies done with type of segment, so needs development especially segment additional, and in this study two segments crash expected more energy, additional increase critical load can be reduced buckling. The method used ANSYS Workbench 14.5 finite element software. variables are section geometry circle, square, hexagon, cross area 1492 mm2, 1771 2045 mm2 uniform height 100 mm, material aluminum AA 7003-T7. Simulation process begins when impactor collision speed 16 km/hour. From research result that moment inertia were an important role absorption higher for each box, hexagon term highest energy.
