摘要: We describe an approach to define contours of 3D vector fields and employ them as interactive flow visualization tool. Although are well-defined commonly used for surfaces scalar fields, they have no straightforward extension in fields. Our is extract visualize specific stream lines which show the most similar behavior on surfaces. This way, field a particular set isolated line segments that depend view direction few additional parameters. present analysis usefulness by demonstrating their application linear In order achieve visualization, we develop efficient GPU-based implementation real-time extraction rendering contours. potential our applying it number example data sets.
