摘要: Two main petroleum provinces are described for the central part of Eastern Venezuelan basin. These include southern foreland platform near Orinoco, with its heavy oil fields Faja Petrolifera, and in north, giant El Furrial related traps frontal thrusts Serrania. To identify systems define attractive plays this complex fold thrust belt system, an integrated geologic model area has been built using stratigraphic, structural, reservoir, geochemical data. The major results study as follows: (1) a reliable stratigraphic synthesis including updated ages; (2) coherent structural interpretation thrusted zones validated by balanced north-south cross section, relevant new interpretations being discovery out-of-sequence (Pirital thrust) involvement upper crust deformation; (3) description reservoir hydrodynamic models that emphasize importance Las Piedras, Oficina, Merecure reservoirs; (4) characterization three different source rocks marine continental origin Guayuta Group (two sources) Carapita Formation (one source). better understand generation area--the maturation potential rocks, expulsion, migration hydrocarbons--one- two-dimensional numerical modeling also attempted times before after thrusting. This method given estimate 420-1350 billion bbl generated oil, which 6-15% have recognized within area.
