摘要: Increasing anthropogenic pressures often jeopardize ecosystem integrity and policy-relevant conservation management in protected areas. To harmonize nature with human well-being, EU Biodiversity Strategy to 2020 suggests Mapping Assessment of Ecosystems their Services (MAES) as the key concept for environmental planning Member States. Applying this procedure is challenging due its data-demanding multidisciplinary nature, resulting ecoystem services (ES) approach being scarcely used areas management. Increased data availability under biodiversity-related inventories monitoring projects, well theoretical empirical research advances developed during last decade, should be put into practice guide States towards local frameworks scenario building ongoing changes socio-economic environment. This study aims at filling gap by embodying MAES operational framework a scenario-based demonstrates case Natura 2000 site, Lake Stymfalia, Greece.
