摘要: Statement of problem Microwave postpolymerization has been suggested as a method to improve the mechanical strength repaired denture base materials. However, effect microwave heating on flexural autopolymerizing reline resins not investigated. Purpose This study analyzed 4 (Duraliner II, Kooliner, Ufi Gel Hard, and Tokuso Rebase Fast) 1 heat-polymerized resin (Lucitone 550). Material methods For each material, 80 specimens (64 × 10 3.3 mm) were polymerized according manufacturer's instructions divided into groups (n=8). Control group remained processed. Before testing, subjected in oven using different power (500, 550, or 650 W) time (3, 4, 5 minutes) settings. Load measurements (newtons) made at crosshead speed mm/min 3-point bending device with span 50 mm. The values calculated MPa. Data analyses included 3-way 2-way analysis variance Tukey Honestly Significant Difference test (α=.05). Results strengths Duraliner II Kooliner significantly increased ( P =.0015 =.0046, respectively) application irradiation time/power combinations. materials Lucitone Fast, Hard demonstrated no significant improvement compared corresponding control. Only after for 3 minutes 550 W did show higher =.001) than Fast relining resins. Conclusion can be an effective increasing (at minutes).
