摘要: We introduce an automated change detection and delineation tool for remote sensing images: the Land-cover Change Mapper (LCM). LCM rapidly generates a polygon vector layer (shapefile) of regions deemed to have undergone significant in land-cover. In its simplest usage, requires two single band or multi-band co-registered images same scene acquired at different dates, as only user-defined parameter, minimum size regions. The main advantages this are that (a) it is fully unsupervised, (b) exceptionally fast, (c) robust geometric misregistration errors variations illumination, (d) produces visually pleasing outlines resemble those obtained through manual digitization. describe how works, illustrate application monitoring forest clear-cuts on 1,000 km 2 area Western Canada using SPOT imagery, compare commercial tool, report thematic spatial accuracy.
