摘要: Abstract Metal-doped benzil crystals have been grown by thermal gradient solidification in a vertical transparent growth configuration to investigate the effect of metallic guest on ordered organic host. We identified conditions for growing homogeneous, optically good doped with sodium and silver, limiting supercooling, low conductivity anisotropy speed (temperature at liquid–solid interface: 10–25 °C, moving interface 2.0 mm/h). The nature concentration dopant are parameters affecting, through process, crystalline perfection optical properties matrix. Bulk characterisation, spectrophotometrical methods, has offered details some intrinsic system metal particles/benzil Analytical processing experimental data emphasised that is wide band gap semiconductor E g = 2.65 eV . also investigated silver crystal as potential matrix (nano)composite metal/molecular material. With increase from c 1 6 wt%, small narrowing remarked. same behaviour found ( 2 wt % ) compared pure benzil.
