Remnants of the quasars.

摘要: Assuming a standard black hole accretion model for quasars, we estimate the present total mass density, rho sub BH, of quasar remnants using recent observations populations and typical spectra over wide wavelength range. We find BH greater than about (1.4-2.2) x 10 exp 5 solar masses/cu Mpc radiative efficiency 0.1. This is an upward revision by factor 3.0-4.6 from decade-old Soltan (1982). A bright galaxy thus expected to contain central 7/cu h masses. Furthermore, expect that 50 percent contributed objects 8/sq masses those more massive 6
