摘要: HtrA, also known as DegP and probably identical to the Do protease, is a heat shock-induced serine protease that active in periplasm of Escherichia coli. Homologues HtrA have been described wide range bacteria eukaryotes. Its chief role degrade misfolded proteins periplasm. Substrate recognition involves recently PDZ domains C-terminal half and, we suspect, has much common with substrate system tail-specific Prc (which possesses domain). The expression htrA regulated by complex set signal transduction pathways, which includes an alternative sigma factor, RpoE, anti-sigma RseA, two-component regulatory system, CpxRA, two phosphoprotein phosphatases, PrpA PrpB. Mutations genes Salmonella, Brucella Yersinia cause decreased survival mice and/or macrophages, mutants can act vaccines, cloning hosts carriers heterologous antigens.
