Selection rules and line strengths of Zeeman-split dark resonances

摘要: In a weak magnetic field coherent dark resonances in cesium vapor are split into up to 15 resolved components, depending on direction and laser polarizations. We find that the selection rules different for cells with without buffer gas due change multipolarity of two-photon coupling. At low intensities or sufficiently high buffer-gas pressure optical pumping between can be neglected so simple model allows one calculate relative line strengths, giving complete agreement experimental spectra. @S1050-2947~98!00907-X#
