摘要: Hydrochemical investigations were carried out at 39 locations, including surface water, springs and wells from August to October 2013 assess water quality in the transboundary Russia/Ukraine basin of Seversky Donets River (98,900 km2). The studied area comprised three large industrial regions Northeastern Ukraine—Kharkiv, Lugansk, what plays an important socioeconomic role as a major source drinking supply about 5 M inhabitants. aim study was evaluate distribution trace elements watershed according national environmental health limits. sampling done on Udy, Lopan, Oskol Rivers. Groundwater sampled left right river banks nearby selected sites. Results showed that interaction with geological formations, mainly Cretaceous carbonate rocks, loams evaporation, predominant natural factor influenced groundwater chemistry. Evaporation, together additional anthropogenic inputs, reason for high mineralization Kharkiv city region. Nutrient pollution (nitrates) detected territory smaller settlements, where population use household needs supply. Among (Cr, As, Ni, Cu, Zn Pb), only Pb found over 1.2–1.5 times limits Udy region city.
