摘要: Measurements of the boundary-layer characteristics and pressure distribution on three axisymmetric bodies with without a propeller in operation are correlated analytical techniques for computing (1) interaction between hull boundary layer flow potential (2) operating thick stern layer. The agreement measured computed shear stresses, distributions, velocity profiles was satisfactory except over last 5 percent body length two fullest afterbodies. An inviscid propeller-stern-boundary-layer interaaction model developed found to give accurate predictions effective profiles. experimental results show that potential-flow propeller-hull methods thrust deduction propeller-induced distribution. present will be useful predicting full-scale profile design when account is taken effects Reynolds number, roughness, suction modifying nominal (Author)
