摘要: The J‐labeled version of the CS approximation for atom–diatom collisions is carefully examined. It shown that a consistent treatment leads to unphysical and unrealistic features scattering amplitude definite polarization cross sections. most serious these are (i) infinite total sections (ii) rotationally inelastic transitions spherically symmetric potentials.
