摘要: Changes in glycan composition are common cancer and can play important roles all of the recognised hallmarks cancer. We recently identified glycosylation as a global target for androgen control prostate cells further defined set 8 enzymes (GALNT7, ST6GalNAc1, GCNT1, UAP1, PGM3, CSGALNACT1, ST6GAL1 EDEM3), which also significantly upregulated tissue. These under direct receptor (AR) linked to synthesis cancer-associated glycans such sialyl-Tn (sTn), sialyl LewisX (SLeX), O-GlcNAc chondroitin sulfate. Glycosylation has key role many biological processes including cell adhesion, migration, interactions with matrix, immune surveillance, signalling cellular metabolism. Our results suggest that alterations patterns via might modify some or these The is an abundant secretor glycoproteins types, are, therefore, attractive potential biomarkers therapeutic targets. Emerging data on often overlooked modifications have improve risk stratification strategies patients
