EIT Observations of the 15 November 1999 Mercury Transit

摘要: The Mercury transit of 15 November 1999 has been observed from space by the SOHO and TRACE spacecraft. We exploited data recorded EIT/SOHO to determine stray-light level plate-scale instrument. asymmetric distribution stray light across images is confirmed, but absolute amount was found be higher than previously estimated. plate scale averaged over wavelengths 2.627±0.001 arc sec pixel−1, in excellent agreement with two previous independent determinations.
