摘要: Abstract We provide new evidence on the impact of diminished self-control social preferences in ultimatum game. In a sample German university students ( N = 312 ), depleted proposers made lower offers, and responders rejected unfair offers as often non-depleted ones. This agrees with previous Dictator Game but stands contrast study Spanish students. A possible explanation is that selfish motives are default mode behavior, there individual heterogeneity whether strategic fairness (fear rejection) can overcome them.
