摘要: This study identified residents' perceptions of major social impacts from tourism and their concerns. A survey households on the Sunshine Coast region covering hinterland residential, high tourist activity, coastal residential activity areas three shires (Caloundra City Council, Maroochy Shire Noosa Shire) was carried out to assess impacts. Altogether 732 responses were received. Based respondents, results suggest that if rates resident are aligned with actual impact, has highest impact traffic congestion. Residents perceived opportunity meet people other regions world provides a valuable experience for respondents better understand culture society. The also found number significant correlations between concerns variables. It revealed principal area concern lack capacity roads transportation followed by negative surrounding environment crime related incidents.
