Conspectus of the vascular plants of Madagascar: a taxonomic and conservation electronic database

摘要: The Conspectus of the Vascular Plants Madagascar Project is an international multi-institutional effort involving Missouri Botanical Garden (MO), Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle (P), Parc Botanique et Zoologique de Tsimbazaza (TAN), and Centre la Recherche Appliquee au Developpement Rural (TEF), whose goal to make widely accessible information on all vascular plant names attributed Madagascar. In addition bibliography, database will hold a maximum number exsiccatae voucher occurrence taxa within protected areas system, permit automated mapping analyses distribution patterns. By maintaining in updatable electronic form, by incorporating GIS image technology, we hope both facilitate new revised treatments for Flore Madagascar, as well serve needs conservation NGO’s Malagasy people.
