摘要: Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is an important pulse legume crop. We previously reported a draft genome assembly of the desi chickpea cultivar ICC 4958. Here we report advanced version 4958 (version 2.0) generated using additional sequence data and improved genetic map. This resulted in 2.7-fold increase length pseudomolecules substantial reduction gaps. The covered more than 94% estimated gene space predicted presence 30,257 protein-coding genes including 2230 133 encoding potential transcription factors (TF) resistance homologs, respectively. Gene expression analysis identified several TF chickpea-specific with tissue-specific displayed functional diversification paralogous genes. Pairwise comparison (ICC 4958) earlier kabuli (CDC Frontier) assemblies showed extensive local collinearity incongruity placement large blocks along linkage groups, apparently due to use different maps. Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP)-based mining intra-specific four thousand SNPs differentiating group genotypes.
