摘要: Fat body tissue from larvae and pupae of saturniid silkmoths was incubated with leucine-1-C14, incorporation into total protein measured. Midgut also used in a few experiments. In medium salts amino acids based on the composition silkworm hemolymph, by fat is linear for at least 6 hr., whereas some other media give declining rates, severely hypotonic media, or homogenates, virtually abolished. mature rate acid high; diapausing it has fallen to about 0.3% larval rate; an early stage adult development risen again 10% rate. The activity midgut rises after integumentary injury pupae. body, effect first evident taken 14 hr. injury; 7 days had become maximal (50–70 times preinjury rate); thereafter declined toward
