摘要: Few youth suicide prevention programs are theory based and systematically evaluated. This study evaluated the pilot implementation of a community-based project guided by an ecological perspective. One hundred fifty-seven adults representing various constituencies from educators to health care providers 131 ninth-grade students received training participated in evaluation. Analysis questionnaire data collected before after trainings indicated significant increases knowledge about belief usefulness mental among students. Adults' preparedness help also increased. Students' sense responsibility their peers who might be at risk for increased pre- posttraining, as well likelihood that these trained would seek adult assistance immediately if they were concerned peer. The results analyses discussed context qualitative information through individual interviews with key community contacts. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
