摘要: In the present study, dried leaf (144g) of B. monandra plant was extracted with 95% ethanol. The crude extract partitioned into ethyl acetate and n-hexane layers to afford fractions golden brown greenish yellow colours respectively. were concentrated coded EFBM HFBM. preliminary phytochemical screening conducted on fraction (EFBM) revealed presence flavonoids, tannins, steroids, terpenoids, saponin, cardiac glycoside phenols. antioxidant activity HFBM evaluated using DPPH radical scavenging assay ascorbic acid as a reference standard. However, result analysis that exhibited high (IC50 μg/mL=0.010) than μg/m = 5.564) standard μg/mL=30). antibacterial against three gramnegative bacterial strains (Eschericha coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa Klebsillia oxytoca) also it found highest potential. contrast this, showed negligible or zero all bacteria strains. results GC-MS analyses nine different phytochemicals. EFBM, oleic which is classified monounsaturated omega-9-fatty percentage concentration, (40.76%) major compound identified by 4-hydroxy-5-methyl- 3-propyl-2-hexanone (42.70%) in this studies demonstrated folk medicine can be effective modern combat pathogenic microorganisms. millenarian use suggests represents an economic safe alternative treat infectious diseases.
