摘要: Abstract In this paper, a novel hybrid Differential Evolution (DE) and Pattern Search (PS) optimized fuzzy PI/PID controller is proposed for Load Frequency Control (LFC) of multi-area power system. Initially two-area non-reheat thermal system considered the optimum gains are employing DE PS (hDEPS) optimization technique. The superiority demonstrated by comparing results with some recently published modern heuristic techniques such as DE, Bacteria Foraging Optimization Algorithm (BFOA), Genetic (GA) conventional Ziegler Nichols (ZN) based PI controllers same interconnected Furthermore, robustness analysis performed varying parameters operating load conditions from their nominal values. It observed that need not be reset even if subjected to wide variation in loading condition parameters. Additionally, approach further extended multi-source with/without HVDC link PID using hDEPS algorithm. shown optimal output feedback systems. Finally, Reheat turbine, Generation Rate Constraint (GRC) time delay included model demonstrate ability handle nonlinearity physical constraints model.
